Chusa Apple Wine, Chusa 40 (distilled apple drink), and Chusa Blue (blueberry wine) produced by Yesan Apple Wine Co., Ltd. were chosen among the Top 10 Chungnam Alcoholic Beverages.
Yesan Apple Wine’s distilled apple drink also made it on the list last year in 2018, and with three of its products gaining recognition this year, it is establishing itself as a premier alcoholic beverage producer.
Chusa Apple Wine, which is the flagship product of the company, won the Grand Prize at the Korean Sool Competition in 2012 and 2015, and the company is fast-emerging as one of the top wineries not just in Chungcheongnam-do Province but in the country.
The Top 10 Chungnam Alcoholic Beverages were selected among 69 products submitted by 40 producers located in 16 cities and counties in the province. A total score was given based on the reviews of the judging panel comprised of 6 experts (80%) and the citizens panel (38 members; 20%).
The Top 10 were as follows: △ Takju (Ureongi Ssal Son Makgeolli (7.5%), Sulgongbang 9.0(9%)), △ Fruit Wine (Chusa Apple Wine (12%), Chusa Blue Sweet (11%)), △ Yakju (Lee Sang-jae Myeongga Sogokju (16%), Manse Boryeong-ju (15%), Tobagi Sogokju (16%)) △ Regular distilled alcohol and soju (Chusa 40 (40%), Bul-sogokju (43%), Dureang regular distilled alcohol (35%)).
Jeong Je-min, a representative of Yesan Apple Wine, stated, “It was an honor and it brought great joy for us when our distilled apple drink was chosen in 2018.
