It’s been reported that around 56,000 people visited Yedahong Suspension Bridge in Yesan over the Chuseok holidays.

Family visitors surged during the Chuseok holidays, especially because families visiting the nearby Memorial Park to pay their respects to their ancestors stopped by the landmark.
It was also found that those visiting their families and relatives in other cities and counties nearby came to Yedangho Suspension Bridge, the longest bridge of its kind in Korea, for sightseeing.
Yesan Agricultural and Specialty Product Market and food trucks operating in the vicinity of the landmark became flooded with tourists as well, and this helped revitalize the local economy.
Lee Jeong-hwa, a resident of Seosan who visited Yesan to check out the suspension bridge over the holidays, said, “I’m here with my family and this is our first time coming to the suspension bridge, which is a major tourist attraction in Yesan. We had a great time thanks to the great weather and scenery. I’d like another chance to visit again.”
Yedangho Suspension Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Korea at 402m in total length. It has received 2.17 million visitors since it was opened on April 6, and it is now considered the No. 1 landmark of Yesan. The county government is making ongoing efforts to develop a wide variety of tourist resources centering on the suspension bridge.
