Daljip Festival
This festival kicks off with jisin-balpgi (lit. treading the ground for the god of earth) as part of the jeongwol daeboreum (first full moon of the lunar year) festivity to pray for good harvest. A number of unique events take place such as playing folk games, carrying sheaf of rice (like the good brothers), making baby jangseung (totem poles), making a personal wish scroll, riding an oxcart, burning sheaf, and playing gangangsuwollae.
