The Festival Grounds Bathed in the Romantic Colors of Autumn, With the Chrysanthemum Exhibition Continuing Until the 29th

The 9th Yesan Jangteo Three Kingdoms Festival, a signature event in Yesan County, successfully concluded on October 26.

This year’s festival, themed “Romantic Restaurant,” ran from October 23 to 26 at the Yesan Market.

The opening ceremony on the 23rd kicked off with a performance by the musical group “Wink,” followed by a wide range of performances featuring senior models and local performing arts teams, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere.

The 22nd Yesan Apple Festival was also held concurrently with the Romantic Pocha, which featured 11 food stalls offering a variety of flavors and experiences for visitors.

For the first time this year, the festival presented interactive content, including the Three Kingdoms Exploration Area, Saecham Theater, Three Kingdoms, and the Yesan Noodle Pop-up Booth, in collaboration with young local creators. These interactive activities were well-received by visitors of all ages.

Another new feature this year was the Local Food Welcome Shop, which offered quality-assured local agricultural specialties at reasonable prices, contributing to expanding sales channels and boosting income for local farmers.

The festival also took steps toward sustainability. In partnership with the Blue Promise cleaning team of the Yesan Community Self-Reliance Center, the Romantic Pocha adopted reusable containers, enhancing festival operation efficiency and realizing social value as an eco-friendly festival.

The influx of festival attendees also led to a significant rise in visitors to Yedangho Lake, helping to further invigorate local tourism.

Yedangho Lake has become a major tourist destination, attracting visitors with its iconic suspension bridge, musical fountain, and monorail, as well as the recently opened Yedangho Lake Good Rural Experience World featuring an observatory and offering adventure activities and moving boats.

Families enjoyed water leisure activities and breathtaking autumn scenery from the observatory, highlighting the region’s transition from a simple day-trip destination to a longer-stay tourism spot.

Aside from Yedangho Lake, other local tourist attractions, including Sudeoksa Temple, Chunguisa Shrine, Yun Bong-gil Memorial Hall, Deoksan Hot Springs, House of Chusa, Slow City Daeheung, and Hwangsae (Stork) Park, also drew attention, contributing to the overall revitalization of Yesan’s tourism sector.

The Governor of Yesan County said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the residents, tourists, and volunteers who showed their enthusiastic interest and participation in the 9th Yesan Jangteo Three Kingdoms Festival, filled with innovative initiatives. We will continue to do our best to link our festivals with tourist attractions, contributing to the revitalization of our local economy and the development of our tourism industry.”

Meanwhile, the chrysanthemum exhibition featured during the festival will continue to be open to the public until the 29th.
